Thailand, March 2023, so what has changed since we last visited in 2017?
Well a lot has happened since then, including the ravages of the pandemic which have economically left a scar on this fantastic country. Thailand is clearly still in recovery and needs as many tourist dollars as they can get.
Despite all those problems, the Thais are still as welcoming and friendly as ever. Such a warm and loving people who are delighted to see visitors back to their shore........... well most of them at least. Unfortunately, Thailand has seen a big influx of tourists from a particularly large country that likes to invade its neighbours, and those particular tourists are rude, arrogant, selfish and have delusions of self importance.
That aside, Thailand is still a fab country and, once it is back on it's feet, it will be able to get back to its former glory.
Once again I had a great time with my camera, and this time I was lucky enough to have a tour in Bangkok by Kars Tuinder who is a world class Fuji X Photographer. He lives there and runs an amazing Photo Hostel & Photo Cafe, so if you get out there I would certainly recommend paying his place a visit in Chinatown.
Enough of my waffle, here are my shots from Bangkok & Phuket;
