One of the big highlights of my recent trip to 'The Big Apple' was walking around the Easter Bonnet Parade on 5th Avenue. As many of you know my favourite type of photography is 'candid street' shots which I rarely get the chance to do, however at this event I was seriously spoilt for choice :-)
Thousands of onlookers turned up to enjoy and capture the atmosphere of this great event whereby people get the chance to display their various outfits, hats, bonnets and sometimes rather hedonistic attire! There was so much effort put in to looking the part and, luckily for me, nobody was camera shy, in fact they were quite the opposite. This was the first time I had been chased down the street by people who wanted me to take their photo!!!
This could have easily been a massive blog but I have thinned out the photos to bring you my absolute favourites from the day, hope you like them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
