In the last 48 hours Guernsey has been transformed from it's usual spring like conditions into a winter wonderland. I have lived here all my life (21 & a bit years, cough cough) and never before have I seen such a winter onslaught in such a short space of time. Although the temperature has only hit -2 the massive wind chill factor made it feel like -10.
This has created some beautiful wintery scenes therefore getting out with the camera was a must. That said, finding somewhere sheltered enough to take any photos was a real challenge!!!
With this beauty came carnage, huge trees have been ripped down by the 70 mph winds and there has been damage to property & vehicles. Luckily though I dont believe anyone has been seriously injured :-) Some of these photos have been taken within a 5 minute walk of my house yet I passed 8 fallen trees to get to the right spot, plenty of logs for sale soon!!!
Well I have finally thawed out enough to edit my photos and type this blog, time for another cuppa me thinks!!!
